We help every student know themselves, grow the skills the future needs, and get to a seat that fits.
Ask any Class 12 class "Who helped you choose your stream?" and the same answers come back: a cousin, a neighbour, a friend, a parent's unfulfilled wish, the coaching centre next door. Almost nobody says "a test, then a trained counsellor".
Meanwhile India's course map has changed faster than most families' picture of it: CUET, four-year multidisciplinary degrees, new fields like data science, design and allied health, and separate entrance and counselling in every state. The best-informed adult a family knows is often a relative, or a salesperson with a stake in one outcome.
The cost of a mismatch is real: drop years, lakhs of rupees, branch switches and, most painfully, a young person's confidence. TheMentorHome exists to be the neutral, up-to-date voice in the room.
A clear picture of strengths, real options, and a written plan, for every student in a school, not a lucky few.
Know yourself (IAP and counselling), grow yourself (Readiness Compass, Pathfolio, mentor sessions), and get there (India and abroad admissions), every year from Class 9 to 12.
Every recommendation starts from the student's own interests, strengths and goals, not from what is popular or what others expect.
Reports show where a student fits best, not who is "better". The Readiness Compass shows stages, never ranks or grades.
We never promise a rank, a seat, a scholarship or a visa. We improve the quality of the decision and the process.
Whole-school delivery, so guidance is not reserved for the students whose families can find it on their own.
Every journey includes a parent session, in the local language where a counsellor who speaks it is available.
Established models (RIASEC, Big Five), and a Pathfolio record checked by a mentor, not certificates that are only claimed.
Educators, counsellors and admissions specialists whose founders and Board bring over three decades of collective experience, and who have guided more than 5,000 students in India and abroad.
Co-founder and Mentor, TheMentorHome
Rohit is a graduate of IIT Delhi and IIM Calcutta, with 23 years of experience in education, working closely with schools, teachers and students across India.
He co-founded TheMentorHome because he saw the same problem again and again: bright students choosing streams and careers on guesswork, and parents without a clear, neutral picture of the options. TheMentorHome is his answer: a trained counsellor, honest information and a written plan for every child, from Class 9 to admission.
As a mentor himself, Rohit works with students and their families, and keeps the whole team true to three simple rules: fit over rank, honesty over promises, and parents in the room at every step.
We work with families and schools across India: in metros, in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, and in small towns where the information gap is widest and the best-informed adult is often far away. Sessions run on campus or online, so every student can be reached.
We guide applications to top institutions in India, and to universities in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Europe and Japan.
Explore universitiesYour counsellor stays the continuing presence; we bring specialist tools, training and admissions knowledge.
We run the testing, reports and counselling. One coordinator approves Pathfolio entries.
Verifiable parental consent (DPDP Act 2023) before any assessment; each school's data kept separate.
One grade, one term, then scale with a class-level summary for leadership.
Book a one-to-one counselling session for your child. Schools can book a 30-minute walkthrough.
